Cell Phone Usage in PV

We have Verizon, and call them to be sure we are activated ok. Unless you get the international package, the calls cost 69 cents a minute. Check with your provider for specifics, or consider buying the calling cards to call home for best savings. Others on this board will have more details if you let us know what your cell phone company is.

I have cingular... we had to call in advance and let them know that you are using it out of the country, they activate something and then you can go about using the plans. other wise, service is galor

I have Sprint, if you call them you can add International Roaming for $4.00 per month, than it is 50 cents per minute, when you get home, cancel the roaming.

Go and buy a phone card at Wal-Mart or Gigante or Mega to call home and check on the family. I think it is more cost effective that adding and deleting from existing plans etc. If the kids get into that much trouble make sure you leave your resorts number, etc with the local authorities and they will be able to track you down if need be. Of course buy a calling card anywhere and save, but some want to be able to be contacted by the kids, or others, directly, so that is the option by having your provider set up a short term plan. Call your provider for options. Simple, and no meth labs involved.
