does anyone know the code to call mexico from the us and I think there may be a code to get outside of the us?

Also note that the Puerto Vallarta phone numbers have seven digits, like in the US/Canada. The changed from the old five digit system a couple of years back. You can still find some half-dead, half-maintained web pages with the old phone numbers. If you have an old five digit number, try adding \"22\" in front of the five digit number: i.e., 15123 becomes 221-5123.
