Best Beaches?

OK, look at the pic next to my name. That was taken last year at Yelapa. Take a water taxi to get there and spend the day. The water is clearer and cooler. Very nice beach.

Los Muertos at the southern end of PV has nice waves and lots of sand. This is the happening beach.

No corral that is why the water is not as clear as the gulf side. The Pacific water is emerald green.

Have you ever had to worry about eating or driinking anything at Velas Vallarta? I know they probably have purified water but you never know if a place washes their salads, etc, with that water. I think ultimately, it comes down to how hygenic and consciencious their staff is.

The Velas has its own water purification system. Never had a problem there with anything. Any discomfort I may ever have suffered, has been self inflicted from laying in the Sun by the Pool and partaking of too many libations. LOL :roll:

Puerto Vallarta has purified water!!

I think ultimately, it comes down to how hygenic and consciencious their staff is. I believe all large resorts now follow a strict line on food pre and service cleanliness. I have toured lots of the kitchen areas in these places and different food items are seperated and workers are required to decontaminate somewhere between every 15-20 min. I DO NOT worry about food or drinks served.

Yelapa is a cute little place but I would not swim there. If you do swim, do so as far as possible away from the \"town\" as possible. I went in the water near the town side of the beach and it had a sewage smell as well as what looked like lots of small pieces of toilet paper in the water.
