Are you allowed drink beer in public as you walk down the Malecon? Also what is a deposit for a beer and how much does it cost?

Beer is cheapest at the Corona factory, and most places charge more for the bottle deposit than the beer inside, so grab a beer box at the beginning of your stay, then turn in the empties for more beer as required....too easy!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the Corona Factory?????

The Corona Factory is on Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio, also known as the Airport Rd. It is the main Ave running in front of the Hotels in the Hotel Zone. Hard to miss. On the left side coming from the North heading downtown.

The \"Beer Box\" is what 24 bottles of Corona (or Pacifico, Negro etc. name your poison) comes in! You can start with a full case of beer, or, just pick up an empty box to keep the empties from where-ever you may happen to pick up your beer from. Most places we went to had guys there to specifically take care of exchanging your empty beer bottles for full ones!

The new (and HUGE) Corona factory is now located past the airport (a bit north of the airport). One of the nicest buildings in PV!

So when i pick up a beer box how much should i pay and when i return the empties do they give a deposit back to me, or is that already included in the price right off the bat. The corona tastes the same there as in the states or better? This \"Gigante\" market is the best place to get cheap beer, anywhere else?

If you buy a case of beer, you will get a box. Just fill it back with the empties and return. If you get another case you will not pay the deposit on this one and not receive the refund at that time. As far as Corona goes, It is the same all over. In the US only one company imports it, a company from San Antonio Texas. Corona is Corona. Just go and have a good time. Stop worrying about the nickles and dimes or it will spoil a great vacation.
