batteries...?

Started October 7, 2003 · 3,251 views · 3 posts
I went to PV in March of last year, and I remember there being mentioned something about batteries and customs on this message board. Is that still a problem (was it ever, or am I just hallucinating)?

Thanx,

Re:batteries...?
Yeah those items I mentioned only apply to your carry on bag(s).
Re:batteries...?
I just got back from PV and had quite an assortment of batteries in both my carry on and checked baggage. Absolutly no problem. Just make sure that if you are taking any electronic equipment with you (mp3 player, camera, speakers, frs radios etc.), that you have the them in your carry-on with the batteries in. The screeners at Vancouver airport wanted me to turn them all on - to make sure they are what they are - then remove one of the batteries from each item - to prevent any possible interference on the plane or in the airport.
