We eat at Resort Buffets all of the time... Bill has not been ill one time in PV nor have our friends that have dined with us.
I enjoy the variety that buffets offer.
I have read many reports where travellers have become ill from corner food stands or even eating salsa at a fav Restaurant.
I do not think it is fair to give all buffets a bad rap!
just my humble. :)

I do agree with eating yogurt or buying Lactobacillus bulgaricus in tablet form.
I also agree that one should take it easy on spicy stuff and alcohol .

AZtoPV...just like at home...use your common sense and your knowledge of your own likes and dislikes...I eat everywhere and everything, follow no special precautionary regimes...by observing the food handling and cleanliness of service you can judge for yourself whethere to eat or not...sonofdob.
Fire In The Hole
Unless your monicker is lavalips or asbestos tongue I would recommend extreme caution with habanero sauces . They would give the devil heartburn !
The fish that Smitty and Laurie 10 others at our table and several lucky guests enjoyed was called bonita..I believe means pretty fish..Not so pretty but very tasty.
Jim you just reminded me of a very enjoyable eve in PV. :)
Most resturants in PV will cook your fish for you for a very nominal cost along with adding side dishes with it. IMHO Bonito is my least favorite fish in the bay, way too bloody and fishy for my taste.
:) Captain Carlos!! YOU will just have to take us out on that nice little boat of yours and show us how to catch something other than bloody bonitos. :P  Just do not bury me at Sea and we...prefer clothes option!! :)
