Boy do I want to be in PV now. Here it is only October and mother nature did the dirty deed on us yesterday, and today. Anybody else seen snow yet?
:(
We got SNOW last night
Advertisement
Saturday night we got some snow in the high mountains around us and I thing tonight is suppose to be like 25 degrees. However...the good news for me is that we only have 6 more sleeps til we take off for P.V. :D ....and people think that california is always warm and sunny, guess again.
We are supposed to get some snow tomorrow afternoon here in Manitoba. Insane!
Take care.

wish us luck
The missus and I are headed to Niagara/Toronto tomorrow for 4 nights, and it looks like they saved the fall weather for our arrival. Forecasts are for considerable cooling and precip. Keeping our fingers crossed!
We woke up to 1/2 an inch of snow on the ground and more falling today and overnight. Heard some parts of Manitoba have 15 cm of the white stuff on the ground.
Take care.
Tracy
111 sleeps!!:D

darn snow
It is still snowing and blowing here in Brandon, MB since very early this morning. Apparently parts of the Trans Canada were closed around our area today and travel still not recommended.
This is the usual storm just before we leave for PV every March.
Oh well, thinking positve..only 156 sleeps til PV.

Here in Calgary AB the snow just started today, yuck. Why couldnt this of happened in two more weeks
Snow News Is Not Good News !
First frost of the year this morn in Toronto - very upsetting - till I rationalized that my PV vacation would seem that much more deserved ! :) Farmers Almanac has this winter in Southern Ontario as very mild - gotta trust those farmers ! :)

hi smitty the cadets dont come till there out of school I said i was getting the camp ready. which means the clean up and getting the stock in, staff organized and so on and so on I also stated my mom does a mail route and my father helps her but because of the hip operation he cant do any of it and part of the mail is also delivering parcels so I help my mother all morning till about 1pm then I go to the camp and do what I have to do there. I also stated that come JUNE TO SEPTEMBER I work 7 days a week 12 hr days with the ocassional weekends off with good behaviour. The kids that come to this camp are between the ages of 13 and 17 they are selected from all over western canada to participate.. Hope this helps clear up any of your
this is what I said:hi joyce no we dont have the same job lol. My dad and I run a cadet camp mess hall. in english that means from june to sept. we feed 200 kids 3 meals a day and 3 snacks a day which is 600 meals a day. My dad and mom have been in the food buisness for over 40 yrs my mom 7yrs ago changed jobs and started working for canada post she does the rural routes in our area with that comes delivery of parcels to the businesses here. So my dad does that part but with him having this operation I will take that over plus start getting the camp ready.
I live in the MidWest USA. I was whining this morning about having to turn on the furnace just to warm up a little, it was 48 outside. I do not envy those of you having 7 degree weather....Spring in Missouri is unpredictable enough, I could not tolerate that kind of COLD! Look to happier and warmer days just around the corner!!

Patio Time For Sure
You are right Chuck . Celcius for temps and metric for distances - its like a whole different country up here . :) An easy conversion from celcius to fahrenheit is to multiply x 2 and add 30 .
Definitely the best time of the year here in Southern Ontario . Daytime temps around 20 C . Cooler nights , plenty of sunshine and no humidity . The fruit trees are heavy with blossoms - there will be a great crop this year .

Snow and Ice
Just like to invite all of you up to Northern Saskatchewan where there are currently no forest fires, and a +7 degree Celsius (44 fahrenheit) evening. Just flew home to La Ronge from Flin Flon and saw the only ice on any lakes is on our big lake. But the float planes are all in the water. Pickerel Fishing is great this time of year, without the bugs. HURRY: We might have snow next week.

I used to do some home care for a wonderful lady in my home town who talked about her nephew Ron in La Ronge who fought forest fires.
A neat way to approx. a couple temps. is to remember that 16C is the same as 61F, and 28C is the same as 82F. Just turn the numbers around.
Joyce
well were back to nice weather here. Thanks joyce never knew that one I allways did the times and add for farenheit. :D
