Sounds as if your friends have a long hard road ahead of them..It is good they have friends like you and Tom to help them get through this..
I imagine Dan is scared and very frustrated ....

You guys just hang in there. It looks like a long, tough road ahead but it sounds like Dan and his wife are very strong people and they have the support of wonderful friends like you and Tom.

Unfortunately, Dan has had a slight set back so here is another update on him:

Dan was admitted to Convenant with severe stomach cramps. It turns out his intestines quit working. Last night they got them moving again with lots of fluids and an annema. He got hateful from the morphine and was still hateful when taken back to Manor Care so his family left. Once he got there he went wheeling down the hallway to his room, hopped in bed and covered his head. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for them.
