Well I´m here and absolutely loving every minute of it!

Wicked rain storm last night. The streets were full of water, but it sure was nice as it cooled things down. We got absolutely soaked. I cannot remember a time when I´ve felt such humidity here.

Holiday Inn is okay. Staff are wonderful. Food not so much, room is nice (oceanview). We prefer the Pelicanos to the Holiday Inn and would probably stay there instead next time (if we not in Old Town).

Had planned to eat at Bruce´s Back Alley Bistro last night, however, ended up at CyC´s, then Andales, then Burros and then back to Andales. Needless to say I have a bit of a fuzzy head today! :lol: and we didn´t eat dinner :lol:

Tonight we are going to El Palomar de los Gonzales for dinner (our favourite place to eat) and hopefully we´ll make it to Bruce´s tomorrow night!

Anyways gang, just thought I would check in and say hello.

Ellen, I will try and touch base with you later in the week once we know some more of our plans!

Last night we went to El Palomar de los Gonzales which is located at Aguacate 425. It is up on the hill looking down into the bay and old town. We have been there half a dozen times and it is a must do on every trip.

Doug had the seafood platter and I had the Beef filet with the Palomar salad. Wow! Absolutely fantastic as always. The views are to die for, the service is way above and beyond and the food was supreme. Once they realized that we were repeat visitors, they gave us the best view table in the joint. I can never say enough about this place. You get a ton of food here. I also had a sexy coffee for desert and it was fab!

Today we are going on the Wild ATV tour and tomorrow we are off to Yelapa for the day. We have ATVs at home that are used in the forestry/mountains so I imagine that the ATVs here are pretty tame but thats okay. It should still be a good afternoon out!

Anyways, must get going. There is plenty of sunshine today. It´s been really hazy all week, but today there is barely a cloud in the sky and it is hot, hot, hot.

Next time I post I will tell you the story about the rat the size of a dog! :D

Well, on Sunday night we were at Burros Bar partaking in a few cocktails with a couple from Phoenix. The other fellow was looking over at Doug, jumps a mile out of his seat and screamed that a very large rat just ran in front of Doug´s feet. Sure enough here was the huge rodent racing around Burros. All the wait staff were chasing it (including Luis for those of you who know him. I can´t believe that he is still there after all of these years 8) ) . Their resident cat was far too lazy to go and chase it for the first five minutesbut after watching all the humans try to trap and kill it, the cat decided he´d like in on the fun. Eventually the rat was chased down between the bar and the banos and he met his fate! Truth be told, I was in a total state of shock during all the excitement. My feet stayed up on the chair opposite me for the rest of our visit.

Tonight we hope to meet up with Ellen at Bruce´s Back Alley Bistro. I´m off to make the reservations now.

I promise I will do a proper trip report when I get home and include Yelapa and the ATV tour. Both were great fun.

Just finished playing in the pool and the ocean. Must get ready now to go and meet Ellen for dinner at Bruces.
