I am a 30 year old woman traveling to Puerto Vallarta in early December and will be traveling alone. Does anyone have any tips for things to do solo?

You will have a great time! A few years ago, my husband had to return home to work several days before I did. I had no trouble keeping myself busy. Spend Sunday night strolling the Malecon for a great piece of local culture; take an all day boat trip--our family favorite is the Geronimo (great staff and comfortable catamaran; take the art walk of the local galleries (I think it was either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings); spend the day people watching at Los Muertos beach; visit one of the Fraiche shops and have them make your favorite perfume to take home; visit the tile shop and design a tile for them to make for you to take home; tour local gardens --or go on one of the canopy line tours----I hope you find some of these suggestions helpful. Makes me jealous that it is still another 101 days before we arrive! ---Have fun!

Top priority for me would be to walk, wander everywhere, talk to the locals, look at everything. Breathe the fresh air. Eat at the street food stands. Walk the beach. Watch the sunset with a cold drink and toes in the sand. Walk the Malecon, especially in the evenings (8-11 pm) and anytime on the weekends. Try foods you have never had before. Smile alot.
You can sign up to do a canopy tour. They put groups of people together anyway. You can parasail at the beach. Just talk to the guys running the boats. Really you can go on any tours as they group everyone together anyway. You can take a bus to Sayulita for the day--- the bus ride itself is an adventure!! You can mountain bike to a waterfall with your personal guide. (Ecoridemex tours)
If you want romance, it would be easy to find. The men can be very forward, so just be careful, use your head. Go easy on the tequila, sometimes they encourage free tequila shots--- I wonder why??!!
