Sea walls

I noticed on some posted photos that there are some rather large rock sea walls or sand retainer walls constructed at various intervals along the beach. Since my wife and I like to take very long beach walks, I was wondering if these rock walls were passable? If so, how long of a beach walk can you take south of the Fiesta Americana Hotel?

Low tide at Las Palmas is a barrier - Laurie had a bad spill climbing off their seawall a few years ago . That was the narrowest point of beach past Fiesta heading into town . Rocks and hot sand dictate proper footwear . We always make it as far as the Rosita and then jump up to the Malecon. Good walking . :)

Thank you both for your replys. looks like we will bring sandals or tennis shoes on our walks to get over or around the sea walls.
