My parents come from Detroit, driven by my brother who flies in from Seattle nearly every year. They all arrive usually on the 23rd. On Christmas Eve my in-laws will come over and we will all have dinner. Our daughter will be here too but our son and daughter-in-law will be at her parents for Christmas Eve and morning this year. We will all stuff the stockings after dinner and bring our gifts out and put them under the tree. Then the in-laws go home and come back again the next morning. We have coffee, tea and sweet rolls while opening presents and then my husband cooks a huge breakfast with back bacon, omelets, potatoes, fried tomatoes, etc. The in-laws go home, the parents take naps and Dave and I cook dinner. Our son and d-i-l will arrive in the afternoon and there will be more presents to open, then dinner is served and Ellen is toast!
