Here is a wake-up call to all parents

I got to work today ,and heard some news that would shake any parent or good person out of there skin . last night my best friend brian and his wife lori are on a 2 week shut down ,well they have been having us friends over for cookouts and partys. I had to be back at work ,well his neighbors were over ,him and his girfriend of 3 yrs . along with about 5 of my other friends . It got late and lori went to bed along with my friends 4 girls ,one being 16. stupid fU**cKING nighbor decided to lock my friend brians dogs in the bathroom and touched my friends 16 yr old while she was sleeping as he told brian he was going in the house to get some food .brian caught him and dragged his sorry ass out the house as he confessed to his girlfriend ( POP IN YOUR EYE) goes brian and my buddy who is the father was in so much shock he could hardly hit the guy, he took off running and we have been watching his house for him to come back- now check this out the police came and searched house to house for this a**hole. he got away but we have been doing a 24-7 watch on his house ,well after work it was my shift and I seen a light on so instead of vigalante bs I DID WHAT THE POLICE ASKED AND CALLED ,they said we cant do anything because its been tourned over to a detective. I asked him if me and my 3 buddies get him will you arrest him , they said not unless he volunters to go to jail. I ask my friends here where is the justice for us good people this is bull s***

by the way I am also a father of a 13 yrd old and a 12 yr old( boy and girl) , all Im saying is that just because you think you know somebody ,you could be wrong. we hang with a tight bunch of people and let a stranger that we knew for 1 yr over and crap can happen, be carefull who you let in your house even though you think its safe . I still am angry IM sorry ( i didnt know how else to tell anybody)

A few stats (yr. 2000 Canada)
Half of Canadian women (51%) have been victims of at least one act of physical or sexual violence since the age of 16.
Women are much more likely to be victimized by someone they know than by a stranger. In 2000*, 77% of all female victims were victimized by someone they know (37% by a close friend or an acquaintance, 29% by a current or past partner, 11% by other family members - including parents) while 19% were victimized by a stranger.

In 2000*, 27,154 sexual offences were reported in Canada, including 24,049 sexual assaults and 3,105 other types of sexual offence (such as sexual touching, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation, incest, sodomy and bestiality). Women made up the vast majority of victims of sexual assault (86%) and other types of sexual offences (78%).

Relation to offenders
In 2000*, 40% of female victims of sexual assault were assaulted by a friend or casual acquaintance, 23% by a stranger and 23% by a family member (including a spouse or ex-spouse).

The wake up call to parents should go to parents of boys to.
I believe...the numbers of assaults on boys and men are very high but most do not get reported.

It Does not seem fair that if one ( a parent etc) goes after the abusers and gives them a kickin and a lickin then they are the ones to pay for the crime.

people are sick in this world , what happened to the days when you could go outside and play all day and listen for dad to whistle and you knew when to come home? I know this is a pv board but I thought it was important just to remind all of us we can never be to safe with our children.

Thanks for the info and kind words, we are all keeping our cool and allowing the police to do there job as they have strongly warned us that any actions taken by us will result in our arrest which none of us want. He will get what he deserves, bubba dont like molesters :wink:
