Thank you all very much. Not to get sappy or anything, but just a short story about my first Thanksgiving away from home. I was in Vietnam in a place called Bear Cat, just outside Long Binh which is North of Saigon. Our food had been ok, not much meat, maybe bologna or tuna salad. Well, two days before we got a menue for our Thanksgiving dinner. TURKEY!!!! Stuffing! Cranberry sauce! Mashed Potatoes! Hot Rolls! Green Beans and......PUMPKIN PIE!! Yup, just mom used to make. Thanksgiving arrived, we all went into the mess hall said our prayer (yes, we prayed back then) and god served out dinner....BOLOGNA, canned corn and white bread. No pie of any sort. Just like the Army. And I still have the menue. Take care and Happy Thanksgiving. Chuck... 8)
Oh gross, bologna on Thanksgiving. Hope you never had another one like it. Happy Thanksgiving.

Well, Chuck, in the Marines we DID have turkey in Viet Nam. It was one tough, stringy old bird but, it was turkey. Happy Thanksgiving, every one.

P.S., No, we did not roast the Colonel, though he was a tough stringy old bird, too.
And just what do you have against Spam? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ7YedEopp4 Bloody Viking!
