For folks who hate crowds - how handle Easter Week?

Hello Everybody,

We have been to PV almost ten times, but always when the place is quiet. This time we must come for the ten days following Easter.

Does anybody have any good strategies on how to keep loving PV even during a time like this?

Typically the week of Easter is the busiest week. The week after you find more of the wealthy mexicans in town from Guad and other areas in Mexico. It will still be crowded but not quite as crazy as the week before.
Traffic is usually the #1 problem. Trying to get from point A to point B in a taxi, on a bus, in a private car is a real pain. So allow longer travel times between when you leave your hotel and when you want to be where you are going. If you go to the malecon make sure you walk on the ocean side as the side with the shops moves at a snails pace at best. If you have a restauant you must eat at call and see if you can get a reservation and avoid the longer wait times. I love PV at Easter and Christmas, it is crowded yes, but it is so full of the mexican tradition of families having fun and enjoying life.

I am here now and while the traffic is a little problematic, we have not had any problems with eating in our favorite places or with things being too crowded.
