CANADIAN EXCHANGE RATE & ARCANO

Wondering if any fellow Canucks down in PV know what the cheque cashing booths are giving for an exchange rate on Canadian Traveler Cheques.

Also wondering if that great brother/sister duo (Arcano)...he plays keyboards she play violin are still performing in the town square regularly??

Depends on the day of the week. Weekends or when a big ship is in town seems to be less . Just got back from PV, Canadian was between 8.75 and 10.05( higher rate downtown) at most places. Best deal is from a bank machine when I checked my statement when I got home I got between 10 and 11.25 from my bank and a $1.00 fee so withdraw the max, around 5000 to 6000 peso per day. You can go to Sterling in PV and probably get a few points more but they charge for the traveler cheque cashing.

When I was there Grupo Arcano was playing at Small Vallarta, the little shopping plaza on the corner before Mc Donalds.
