Happy april fools day everyone. and with this comes april showers,the easter bunny and No more snow (hopefully)

that is scary we had one tornado touch down here quite a few years ago. I had missed it because i had taken my lil sis to winnipeg to the red river ex but when I got home I was so scared because there were so many trees down which is nothing compared to what you guys get.

The first tornado I ever experienced was about 30 years ago when I was still at home living on the farm. The weather had been really weird all afternoon and then at the supper table it started to pour rain like crazy and the wind was super strong and the light outside was a really funny shade of yellow. When the storm passed we went outside and Dad said right away that there had been a tornado because of all the twisted leaves falling from the sky so we jumped in the truck and went to investigate. It had touched down 2 miles from our house and 3 or 4 people had been killed. It was terrible.

i have been \"too\" close to 3 in my life time. one of them was within a mile of me... we watched it come from the northwest into Algona Iowa, it then came to the Des Moines River, and jumped back up into the air, and then next thing we knew, the entire east side of town was gone... it was a mess. that particular day there was 15 tornadoes with in 30 miles radius of Algona... oh and that pot of gold at the end of the rain bow... we had a double rain bow come down in the neighbors back yard, and not one single pot of gold or one gold piece... i guess we were just on the wrong end... Check out the movie \"Twister\" part of that was filmed 15 miles from our house in Grundy Center. That final scene was filmed there. great movie...

I have seen the movie a least a dozen times, good movie. I feel bad that ppl have to go through the fear of tornados. I couldnt take it.
