Well that turned ugly in a hurry for the United States. Here are several things for you to ponder.
1. So much for that winning streak against Mexico on U.S. soil. Wonder if there will be much carryover at Azteca next month.
2. If Mexico can win in the U.S., might it be possible for the U.S. to finally win in Mexico?
3. Before people call for Bob Bradley to be fired again, look at the tournament as a whole. A team of second- and (sometimes) third-choice U.S. players fought their way to the final of the Gold Cup. Sure, it’s not the European Championship in terms of depth, but reaching the final and losing to your archrival is not a bad showing. Update | 10:22 p.m. As several posters pointed out, it needs to be noted that Mexico was not at full strength either.
4. Big crowd, but do not expect Giants Stadium to host any important World Cup qualifiers in your lifetime.
No sense breaking down the nuances of a 5-0 loss (but feel free to if you want). Instead ask yourself: Which players helped themselves in the tournament? Which didn’t? Who do you want to see more of? And then tell the rest of us.

Should be a great game Aug 12th...:) My 14 year old soccer playing granddaughter will be visiting us at that time...will watch the game together.. :)
