Dead Dogs on Roads

Started January 23, 2004 · 17,067 views · 4 posts
My trip to Puerto Vallarta is spoiled by seeing dead dogs on the streets and highways. These dead bodies are left for weeks to rot in the heat. It is not only upsetting, it is very unsanitary. I have to close the windows in the vehicle to shut out the horrible smell of rotting flesh. I spend most of my time in Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerias and I never go out without seeing a dead dog on the road.

Re:Dead Dogs on Roads
In all the years that I have been visiting I have seen only one, and the birds had it stripped by the next day.
Re:Dead Dogs on Roads
In six years, and driving here for over a year, every day in all parts of Vallarta and the bay, I have seen maybe two dead dogs on the road and four or five cats, and this includes ALL parts of Vallarta.
Coming from Minnesota, I would see that amount in just one week, and deer? At least one a week, even hit a couple over the years.

I live here for a couple of years and yes sometimes you see a dead dog. Very sad and i dont like to see it.
you dont see it everywhere in vallarta most off the times at places where the cars drive very fast and that they dont have time anymore to stop. It is very difficult for the cars to stop on time for the dogs because sometimes they walk everywhere and in groups.
