During the first four months of 2025, our port city welcomed 76 cruise vessels, indicating a positive trend in this sector regarding both the number of arrivals and their economic impact.
The State Tourism Department reported that these cruise ships transported over 237,000 passengers to Puerto Vallarta during this period. The presence of these visitors generated an estimated economic impact exceeding 412.6 million pesos. This represents a significant 12 percent increase compared to the same four-month period in 2024, according to official figures.
Further detailing the recent activity, the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) noted that April alone saw the arrival of 23 cruise ships, carrying a total of 65,953 passengers. This figure marks a 7.8 percent increase compared to April of the previous year. The estimated spending of these April visitors surpassed 113 million pesos, reflecting a 14.2 percent increase compared to April 2024.
